From 1 January 2023, Security Through Safe Design will operate as RHEA following completion of the company’s integration into RHEA.
Canadian security specialist company Security Through Safe Design was acquired by RHEA in July 2021 to reinforce RHEA Group’s security consulting management portfolio. Security Through Safe Design specialized in architectural security design, and had a wealth of expertise in transportation security, large infrastructure projects and public–private partnerships.
Cedric Seynat, Vice-President Canada, RHEA, said: “The acquisition of Security Through Safe Design has expanded and reinforced RHEA’s physical and operational technology security offerings and strengthened the breadth of our security capabilities. We are delighted that the team is now fully integrated into RHEA Inc. and look forward to their continued contribution to our growing security services portfolio.”
Security Through Safe Design was founded in 1998, with its headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. Over the course of more than 20 years, its team of security certified professionals built a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields of security, public safety, policing and crime prevention. The company became particularly renowned for its expertise in rail and public transit projects across Canada, as well as critical infrastructure security programmes and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessments.
In addition to systems integration and professional engineering services, RHEA provides a broad range of cyber, physical and corporate security consulting services and solutions, such as threat assessments, security planning, systems design, project management, policy/programme development, strategic planning and investigations. The company has a rich history of providing quality services to governments, critical infrastructures, and national and international organizations, and will build on this to extend its security offerings to serve new clients.
